Microsoft finally confirmed something we have already known, they are releasing a "N" wireless network adapter. The adapter will of course be backwards compatible with other wireless standards such as A/B/G. The new adapter will retail for $99 US greenbacks and will be arriving at retailers on November 12.
There was no mention of any impending price drop for the current wireless adapters that are highly overpriced at $99 loonies. Compare this with the top priced PC wireless G USB card, the Linksys RangePlus Wireless G USB Adapter at $89 loonies and it is not hard to see that we are paying too much. Then again, Belkin does have a wireless N USB NIC for only $59.99.
