Two new games this week. RAYSTORM HD is a high definition remake of classic arcade space shooter by the same name. Zeno Clash is advertised as a first person puncher. While punching may be the main way to battle in the game, there are guns to be found. Both games are priced at 1200MS points. Read on for more information.

This week the new game available on Xbox Live Arcade was first released just over 20 years ago. Tecmo Bowl Throwback is the HD remake of the classic NES title Tecmo Bowl. For those not old enough to have ever played Tecmo Bowl, the game was the definitive 8-bit football experience. The game is famous for delivering a full football experience, even considering the fact it featured only 4 plays. The game in all its HD glory, but lack of an NFL license, can be had for only 800MS points. For all PS3 gamers, the title will also be appearing on the PSN as well. Read on for more information.

Bionic Commando was a great success for Capcom. Well Bionic Commando Rearmed was and as such will be receiving a much deserved sequel. The aptly named Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 will continue were the first game left off with our hero (Nathan Spencer) and the use of his "go go gadget" bionic arm poised to defeat another would be world conquerer . Expect Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 sometime in Spring 2011 on XBLA and PSN. Read on for more information.

It has been a few weeks since we have been privileged to two XBLA games in one week, but that is exactly what we shall enjoy this week. For your purchasing consideration are Puzzle Chronicle and After Burner Climax. Puzzle Chronicles is the latest offering in the popular puzzle/rpg genre while After Burner Climax is a console port of the arcade game by the same name. After a rare week quiet week, XBLA is back on schedule with Final Fight Double Impact. The game is actually two games for the price of one. The pack includes Final Fight and Magic Sword, both of which come in classic and HD modes and can be played on virtual arcades machines. Final Fight Double Impact will be priced at 800MS points. This year Microsoft decided to “spice” up their annual Dream Build Play competition. Developers could create a game for the regular contest and compete for a top prize of $ 40k or enter the “Old Spice” sponsored contest, in which they must create a game that promotes Old Spice’s new line and deodorants, and vie for a top prize of $60k. Canned Games from Jacksonville, NB opted for the Old Spice challenge and released “Old Spice: The Fresh Card Game”. The Old Spice branded game is a mix between Uno and Go-Stop while still manages to be unique and quite enjoyable. The contest winner will be decided by voting done via the Xbox dashboard till April 26th. The game is currently available in the indie section of the Game Marketplace for 240MS points. Monday Night Combat is a new XBLA game created by a small team of just over a dozen devs at Uber Entertainment. The presentation is reminiscent of a game show and features plenty of fast paced action. Monday Night Combat allows players to play 6 different character classes, each with plenty of upgrade opportunities. Upgrades must be purchased with money earned from defeating enemies or coins dropped on the playing field. There is even some tower defense elements mixed in for good measure. Money can be used to purchase additional defenses for the base instead of player upgrades. Monday Night Combat has no current release date, but the price was displayed as 1200MS points and will be exclusive to the Xbox Live Arcade. Read on for more information.

Finishing off the Block Party promotion is the retro arcade Game Room. 10 years ago, Perfect Dark was released on the Nintendo 64 platform. The game was designed by Rare and was a critical success accumulating the second highest aggregated score for that platform, second only to “The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time”. The game returns this week on the Xbox Live Arcade platform with enhanced graphics and smoother frame rate, but retains the same gameplay that made this game so famous to begin with. The game is launched as part of the Block Party promotion and will go on sale for 800MS points. Read on for more information.

Second week into the Xbox Block Party and after launching the party with a bang, Microsoft is following up with Scrap Metal, a shoot-em-up with cars. The game can be downloaded for 1200MS points.
