For a while now, the tubes were abuzz about a possible Assassin's Creed 2.5 title. This game would not continue the adventures of Desmond Miles, but those of Ezio Auditore da Firenze (go ahead and say that 5 times fast). Once again the tubes were correct as Ubisoft confirmed that a leaked game cover from Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is indeed the real deal. Little is known about the game other than it will launch for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC this fall. Ubisoft did promise more information about Assassin's Creed Brotherhood next week. This week it appears the top spot will be shared by Sam Fisher and the B Company. These two titles held off a crew of new titles such as Super Street Fighter IV, Dead to Rights and Nier. Come to think of it, Sam has no real home or affiliation anymore. He should seriously join up with the fellows of Bad Company for Battlefield Bad Company 3. Read on for more information.

Years before gamers first heeded the call of duty, they fought for honor (and possibly a medal). It is hard to believe that it has been over decade since the Steven Spielberg penned game first appeared on the PlayStation console and headshot the gaming world into submission. Since then, a series of bad console ports turned the name "Medal of Honor" into a dirty word to gamers. That may soon change as EA is relaunching the franchise this October with fresh "modern" gameplay and action enough to reclaim its crown as top first person war game. Medal Of Honor will drop on store shelves October 12 for the PC, the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles. Read on for more information.

Rumours are quite strong that EA Sports NHL 11 will feature all 60 CHL teams. The news first came by way of a Twitter post by Dhiren Mahiban. Mr. Mahiban is a sports writer based out of Vancouver, which happens to be the hometown of EA Sports. This news was collaborated by someone in the marketing department of the OHL team London Knights. This news if confirmed will bring plenty of happiness to many Canadians who's city is home to a CHL team. Read on for more information.

Elsewhere it appears as the B-company may soon over Kratos with another strong showing. No new games to the list this week. Xbox 360 make up half of the top-ten. Canadian titles continue to do well. Can you name the bestselling PC gaming franchise of all times? World of Warcraft you say? Wrong! Doom? Not even close. Surely if must be Madden? Nope my trivia deprived friends (and do not call me Shirley), this honour belong to "The Sims". The franchise has sold an astonishing 45 million+ copies on the PC (125 million worldwide) in only three outings (and a handful of expansion packs). Soon Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and Nintendo DS gamers will be able to find out what all the fuss was about because "The Sims 3" will be arriving on each platform later this year. Racing games are fun, but if Burnout Paradise has taught us anything (and it has) is that racing if more fun when there is destruction involved. Unfortunately Burnout Paradise did not go far enough. This is were Split/Second shines. Racing in the game will literally tear the game world apart. For those excited by this concept, go and download the demo for the game now on the Xbox Live Marketplace. PS3 gamers will need to wait a bit longer to try out the demo for it will only arrive in PSN May 11th. Read on for more information.

This week the new game available on Xbox Live Arcade was first released just over 20 years ago. Tecmo Bowl Throwback is the HD remake of the classic NES title Tecmo Bowl. For those not old enough to have ever played Tecmo Bowl, the game was the definitive 8-bit football experience. The game is famous for delivering a full football experience, even considering the fact it featured only 4 plays. The game in all its HD glory, but lack of an NFL license, can be had for only 800MS points. For all PS3 gamers, the title will also be appearing on the PSN as well. Read on for more information.

The Splinter Cell neck snapped everything on the way to take secure the top rental spot in the country. This also places a Canadian developed game back on top of the world. Bionic Commando was a great success for Capcom. Well Bionic Commando Rearmed was and as such will be receiving a much deserved sequel. The aptly named Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 will continue were the first game left off with our hero (Nathan Spencer) and the use of his "go go gadget" bionic arm poised to defeat another would be world conquerer . Epic Games, best known for the Gears of War series, has announced a game without the words "gears" or "war" in the title. Bulletstorm is the Final Fantasy of first person shooters featuring "an arsenal of over-the-top combat moves and outrageously large guns". The game also introduces a little bit of an RPG element with upgradeable skills to unlock even more over-the-top combat moves and outrageously large guns. Bulletstorm will arrive sometime in 2011. Have you ever wanted to play a game where you’re a tough as nails buckaroo like Clint Eastwood set in the American Old West? Then you are in luck for Rockstar is about to grant you your wish with Red Dead Redemption.

Red Dead Redemption is not the first game set in the Wild West, but it may be the first game to get it just right. Unlike most other western games, this one allows the player to create his/her own legacy by roaming about in a huge open world, free from the requirement to follow a linear path. The Asylum was able to get some hands-on time with the game at PAX East. What did we think of the game? Read on for more information.

Activision and Canadian developer Beenox has revealed their new project and it appears to be a doozie of a game. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions will feature 4 versions of our favourite web slinger as they attempt to collect the four pieces of a magical artifact called the "Tablet of Order and Chaos" which got broken during a botched robbery attempt. So far it appears that players will get to control the Amazing, Noir and 2099 versions of Spider-Man with the 4th and final version remaining a secret (hoping for Zombie Spider-Man). The story in Shattered Dimensions is being penned by fames Amazing Spider-Man writer Dan Slott. The game is expected for a fall released on all majour consoles. Read on for more information.

"It looks like a painting come to life - it's that good looking." quoted former series designer David Jaffe when talking about God of War III. With that in mind I downloaded the demo for the upcoming Sony exclusive. God of War is based on Greek mythology and my love of Greek, Norse and Roman mythology is well known. Would this be the game that convinces me that the PS3 is more than just a Blu-Ray player and/or bookend? Read on for more information.

While Project Natal has been making headlines for Microsoft and the Xbox 360, Sony's own motion based offering has been very quiet. That was till today. Sony took advantage of the Game Developers Conference to unveil the PlayStation Move. The wireless motion based controller look awfully similar to the Wii Remote and nunchuck attachment with coloured ping pong balls stuck on top. Regardless of the appearance of the device, the Move will be supported by more than thirty developers and will have a library of more than twenty games by its launch date of Fall 2010. There are plenty of fine racing games available for the Xbox 360, but Formula One fans have been left in the dark. Part of this reason was that Sony had a lock on Formula One games. That lock has been passed on to Codemasters and the developer is about to end that drought and bring the high speed racing series to the Xbox 360 for the first time, along with the PS3 and PC platform. The game will feature all the F1 teams, circuits and cars of the 2010 season. The game is scheduled for a September release. Read on for more information.

There was a lot of debate recently if EA would drop the Tiger Woods moniker from its Tiger Woods PGA Tour series of games. What with Tiger's compulsive need for stroke play. Fear not, just as Elin found out, there is plenty of Tiger Woods for everyone. Tiger will be returning to the tile, mind you in a diminished form. Since the game will features less Tiger, the devs have opted to actually improve the game by including the Ryder Cup and team play to the series. The game will also make use of the WiiMotion Plus controller and the yet unnamed (but codenamed Gem) PS3 motion controller. No word on any Project Natal support. Read on for more information.

Tired of playing guitar games that features plastic instruments with buttons. Then "Power Gig: Rise of the SixString" is the game for you. What makes the game different from Guitar Hero or Rock Band is the fact that the game controller is a fully functional six-string electric guitar. The developers at Seven45 Studios (sister company of musical instrument maker First Act) promise the game will be as easy to learn and play as all other musical games, but that you can drop the game, plug the guitar into an amp and jam away. Final Fantasy XIII was released today in North America. The months leading up to the release was focused on which version of the game would look better. This is after all Sony's chance to outshine the Xbox 360 and prove that Blu-Ray is indeed essential to gaming. Not trusting the opinion of any site that generates advertising $$$, I set out to find out for myself if any particular version displayed a significant advantage over another. Please note that I do not have any fancy screen capture utility, just my camera. All images where taken under identical conditions.

PS/ To make things fair, I will never disclose which screenshots are from which version of the game. Read on for more information.
